DogmaTone records

Yes, I am sure that none of you have heard of this record label. Simply 'cause there is no metal/rock scene in India!! But that what you dumb fucks think. There is an amazingly large crowd out there that listens to the above mentioned genre of music. Well, DogmaTone records is a record company whose sole aim is to promote rock and rock artists in India. They let you ask yourself - "An obvious and casually ignored question: Why is there no market for musical genre called Metal in India, or for that matter, Rock Music?
  • The reason is simple and it is nothing but lack of awareness. People are too numb to realize the quality of such patterns in music. We do not blame anybody but If you don't listen, then we are sure that you guys are missing something. There is definitely a lot of talent in the Indian Underground, waiting to be unleashed. DogmaTone will be the channel for these musical underdogs to latch onto."
Damn, they go on to say that "DogmaTone will handle the financials provided the music is full of passion and is ROCK!!". Woohoo....up the irons!!

I love this company already. You can visit their site here...

  1. Hi Naveen,

Nice to have browsed by your Blog. It feels good to know that the spirit of Indian Rock music lives on within so many fans.

We have actually released an album titled 'The First Mutiny : Dogmas of Indian Rock'. Not sure if you've heard of it - but it is mentioned about, on the website.

Keep in touch - we would love to hear from you.

  3. Hi Naveen,

Came by after a really long time. We have been trying to fix up a country-wide distribution deal that will enable us to get Indian Rock music on the shelf along side the best of the global rock scene.

Once this is set, we would consider that as Step 1 towards getting Indian Rock much needed recognition.

    Thanks for the support brother!

  4. Hey! Thanks for stopping by Varun! Yes, I think if you can get some Indian bands on the shelves of prominent music stores, it will atleast create an interest in the rock scene in India. Good job guys!!
