Flames image crosses 10000 views on Flickr!!

Woooohoooo, yippeee!! My Flames image has crossed 10,000 views on Flickr. I have posted about this image way back in August 2007 when it crossed 1000 views. It then crossed 3000 views in March 2008. Then it was 5000 views in November 2008. And I'd just posted in April this year of how it had crossed 9000 views!. And now its crossed 10,000 views.

Oh well, its a good number of views....

Flames on Flickr

My most viewed pic on Flickr crosses the 6000 view mark! It was 5000 views in November 2008. Thanks for all the views and comments and faves. Appreciate it. But kinda feel bad that my image has been used by some news sites (from as far away as Australia and the US) and no link-back was given to my image and one site had even resized the image. More on this later.

My photo blog

Ok, since I bought a new camera some weeks back- a Canon EOS 1000D, I have wanted to experiment like mad with all the settings possible. Who knows, maybe in due course, I can take some good pics too. In this pursuit, I have started my own photo blog on blogger - Naveen's Clicks. I (had) have resolved to post a pic a day on this blog - no hard and set rule - which I have broken already! I hope to put my own images and plan to post a different subject in each pic. Hopefully the pics, with the titles will make you think or do a double take!

I bought this awesome camera the same day when I had the cast removed. Was actually cradling the baby before I met the doc in the hospital. Hands itching to start shooting - I was going mad! And the first few days was horrible with not being able to hold the camera well - damn hand wouldn't do what I wanted it to do. But now that that is all fixed and fine, I have been able to go crazy. Took it to Gerald's wedding and the Rider Mania 2009 and hopefully took some great pics!

Dragonfly

Have always wanted to get a good macro of an insect and today, got a really good shot of a beautiful specimen of the common Indian Dragonfly. The bugger did not even move and I got some good shots of him up close...
