Ronnie James Dio is dead

Damn, read this really sad news yesterday that Ronnie James Dio passed away on Sunday. I will always remember copying the tape - Diamonds: The Best of Dio from Renie and even making a copy of the album cover. And remember Anwin telling me that the "Dio" when looked at upside down actually read "Devil". I must have listened to "Holy Diver" a million times. I only had two of his albums - the other one was Sacred Heart. Another awesome album.

Will be sorely missed by the metal community. And he was just about to embark on a world-tour.

The metal horns - \m/ is kinda attributed to him. RIP.

Holy Diver covered by Killswitch Engage

Damn, came across this cover of our favourite song, Holy Diver by Killswitch Engage from MetalSucks. I actually liked the version cause unlike other cover versions, they have stayed true to the original version and the video is funny too. Fucking awesome rendition. Follow link to watch the video.

Tenacious D on Dio

Here I am listening to this song called "Dio" by Tenacious D from the album TenaciousD. Jack Black sings about Dio, asking him to pass on the torch, that hes been a great rocker and all that.

The next song that comes on my player is "Don't Talk to Strangers" By Dio himself!! Ironic huh!!
(I later checked out on Wikipedia and read that Dio liked the song, Dio and infact Tenacious D appeared in the video for his single, "Push". In addition, Dio also appeared in the 2006 film Tenacious D in: The Pick of Destiny playing himself.)
