Fast forward....

I remember the days when we used to listen to music wholly on huge, bulky cassette players. These hulking machines used to be owned by our dads and who were equally protective of these players.

Some years back, we acquired CD players that were capable of only playing CDs. But the good thing here is that you need not even listen to a song completely, you can just press the forward button and it would take you to the next song.

Nowadays and I own a Creative Zen Xtra 30 GB player and have close to 2000 songs on it already. But the good/bad thing is that whenever I put in a whole album by a band in it and I start listening to the songs, whenever a songs riff does not even sound interesting or catchy, most of the time, I just press the button for the next song. But this changed the last time I travelled home. I deliberately put all the songs on the player on a playlist and started playing on shuffle mode. And made it a point to listen to every song from beginnning to end. What came out was lots of lousy music, but some real gems in the process.

Great find...........

I will buy a player too but its gonna wait about 8 months. Planning on buying an Iriver. No Ipods for me. I am thinking of buying a headphone amp too. A bit head should do fine, cos it can be used with my laptop too.

    btw, saw the photos. Nice

  2. Delete all those comments dude.... f'pisses me off. Losers like these are the ones who crap all over the internet and then we have to buy products/services to filter them out.

  3. I noticed that about digital music as well - I have so much music on my comp that I've never listened to. I never listen to entire albums like the old days...
