Wasted Years??

"Then one day you find, ten years have got behind you. No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun" - Pink Floyd, Time

"Then as it was, then again it will be. Though the course may change sometimes, rivers always reach the sea" - Led Zeppelin, 10 Years Gone

"We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl year after year" - Pink Floyd, Wish You Were Here

These first three lyrics may sound very unsympathetic to someone looking forward to the New Year! The years go by and life passes on, sometimes leaving us in the dust. But like always, there is hope in the future! So as Maiden say,

"Don’t waste your time always
Searching for those wasted years
Face up... make your stand
And realise you’re living in the golden years"

We are living in the Golden Years, tomorrow is also a part of those years!!!

Have a Great New Year!!!

Making a political issue out of DEATH!

There are lots of people dead, some still rotting on the beaches where the Tsunamis struck and here in India, in Tamilnadu in fact, we have political television channels fighting and slanging on air.

SunTV, backed by the DMK accuses the ruling government that it is not providing enough help for the people at the ground level. And the ruling party's channel says that the Chief Minister is doing a great job.

Though some of these accusations may be true, this is a time for us to concentrate on the job at hand, which is not to point an accusing finger at other people but to do what we can to help the survivors of this grave tragedy!!! There is a dire need for people to help and to provide clothes, medicines and food to the survivors. There is a fear that more people could die with the diseases that could spread from the affected areas. Let us do what we can. Again I say, you can make a difference, please make a donation, save some lives.

Tsunamis Wreck Havoc

Well, the Tsunami killer waves have wrecked havoc across the coastal areas of many countries... I live near the sea, quite close actually but we did not face any problems...but there have been many people who have lost their lives...fisherfolk esp...

There will be people who are reading this blog and wondering how to make an effort in helping the lives of the people affected by this freak of nature...

The simplest way, I would say is that you can make a contribution to the Internation Red Cross/Red Crescent Society, they accept donations from anyone...

Till later..
